Avery graduated with a Bachelor of Accountancy and Master of Professional Accountancy degrees from Mississippi State University in 2017 and 2019 respectively. She joined Watkins, Ward and Stafford in 2023. 

Avery is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants. She specializes in audits of non-profit organizations.
