John N. Russell earned a Bachelor of Professional Accountancy degree at Mississippi State University in 1989. He joined Watkins, Ward and Stafford in 1989 and admitted to the partnership in 2005.

John is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants.

With more than twenty-nine years experience, John's practice is concentrated in business and agricultural tax, utility and water audits, governmental audits, non-profit audits and retirement plan audits.

He is married to Jennifer Diane Russell, and they have two sons, Josh Winstead and Shane Russell, and two daughters, Marcy Lee and Casondra Dossett.
